THE SITUATION:

As climate change brings increasingly intense rainfall to Denmark, Økohaven faces two pressing water challenges:

• Flooding: High groundwater levels + heavy downpours cause frequent flooding, rendering various areas inaccessible and damaging infrastructure.
• Water waste: All this rainwater flows into sewers or gathers in puddles, while gardens, green spaces, and street cleaning continue the usage of valuable drinking water.
